Couple gets a fairy tale romance amid Frozen performance

In one of her novels, Melissa Brown wrote, “Once in awhile, in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.”

She could have been writing about Caroline Bowman and Austin Colby who will be coming to East Lansing from Jan. 26 to Feb. 6 to perform in the musical, “Frozen” at the Wharton Center.

Bowman, who plays Elsa, the Queen of Arendelle who famously sings “Let It Go,” is married to Colby, who plays Hans, the 13th born prince who comes to her coronation and woos her little sister, Anna.

While both have extensive musical careers, they actually met through mutual friends and “Frozen” is the first show they’ve done together. Bowman was home for the holidays when some friends took her to see “Cinderella,” which Colby was in.
