Color and imagination burst in exhibit at Greenwich’s Flinn Gallery

The Flinn Gallery is preparing to open a new season of art exhibits in its home on the second floor of the Greenwich Library.

The first display will be a celebration of color and imagination bursting forth in “Atmospheric Moments.” An opening reception will be held in the gallery on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 6 to 8 pm

The exhibit — which will run from Sept. 8 to Oct. 19 — will feature works by artists Rachel Burgess, Bascove and Sage Tucker-Ketcham.

These three women infuse their landscapes with individuality that reflects their distinctive views, according to Flinn Gallery organizers. Their artwork tells stories shaped by their own creativity, with each approaching her work with the belief that our minds shape our views on whether it is in the moment we regard an object or the way it appears to us in our memory, according to a statement from the gallery.

“Atmospheric Moments” was curated by Linda Butler and Barbara Richards.
