In just a few hours, Johanne Grundt Hansen will crown her successor as Miss Danmark at the Shiny Star in Valby, Copenhagen.
“Today is the day I get the great honor of passing on the beautiful crown. Although it can feel a little sad to have to pass the title on, I’m looking forward to finding the new winner and following her on her journey. To be Miss Denmark is a huge journey,” she wrote in a statement on social media.
Prior to the show, a red carpet event will be hosted by former Mr World Nicklas Pedersen and Julie Brink from 6:30 pm
Who will be the next Miss Danmark?
Here are the Top 33 finalists competing for the national title:
Melina Mira – 18, from Albertslund, is a student and restaurant employee. She enjoys walking, running in nature, fashion, a night out with friends, traveling, and spending time with family.
Michelle Desideriussen – 27, from Kastrup, is a salesperson and freelance model. She enjoys running training, painting/drawing, and immersing herself in new recipes in the kitchen. She has a great passion for animals and therefore loves to spend her free time riding or training dogs.
Zaara Naaz Ahmed – 17, from Albertslund, is a student majoring in international economics & marketing and works as a model. Her interests include fitness, social media, family, music, dancing, and traveling.
Mathilde Michelle Laursen – 17, from Copenhagen, is studying economics and in her free time working in a bakery shop. Her interests include education, experiences, and spending time with family and friends.
Nicole Kirstine Hansen – 19, from Hornsyld, is taking a sabbatical and works as a model, waiter, and shop assistant. Her interests include disco dancing, friends, family, social media, community development, and travel.
Warda Abdiaziz – 21, from Copenhagen, was born and raised in Fredericia but has roots in Somalia and Yemen. She is a nursing student and works in home care as well as with facials and lash lifts. Her interests include traveling, football, painting/drawing, and spending time with family and friends.
Karoline Sargent Nimgaard – 18, from Strøby, is a student in social studies and English, working in a drug store and as a babysitter. She enjoys fashion, traveling, and spending time with friends & family.
Maya Bach – 20, from Kalundborg, is a skilled farmer. Her interests include running, football, pigs, animal welfare, sustainability, cooking, outdoor activities in nature, and spending time with friends and family.
Claire Schou Rasmussen – 20, from Solrød Strand, was born in China and was adopted to Denmark when she was 1 year old. She is a structural engineering student at the Danish Technical University in Ballerup and enjoys gymnastics, cooking, traveling, skiing, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog.
Mathilde Vangkilde – 18, from Næstved, is an international marketing student and a restaurant employee. Her interests include Horse riding, fashion, traveling, running, and spending time with friends and family.
Camilla Andersen – 25, from Copenhagen, is working as a rheumatology nurse at a hospital and is also a private home nurse. Her interests include training, travel, fashion, beauty, well-being, and spending time with his dog Kenya, family, and friends.
Lara Al-Medrasi – is a 19-year-old student from Copenhagen. She is interested in business, self-development, animals, travel, books, family, and fashion.
Jasmin El-Khodro – 23, from Copenhagen, is a law student working at the Social Legal Aid as a voluntary legal advisor, voluntary work, and also as a mentor at the University of Copenhagen and at the Danish Refugee Council. Her interests include traveling, drawing/painting, being active in legal communities, reading fiction, cooking, and singing.
Victoria Arvin Lautrup – 26, from Frederiksværk, is working as a receptionist and training coordinator. She is a trained beautician and her interests include beauty care, being creative with make-up and hairstyles, running, walking, self-development, and being with family and friends.
Hella Sofia Bach – 18, from Næstved, is a technical high school student majoring in biotechnology, salesperson, and tutor. Her interests include gymnastics, swimming, beauty, charity, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
Banuscha Baskaran – 22, from Struer, is a medicine student at the University of Copenhagen and is working as a substitute nurse. She is passionate about medical science and her interests include photography, baking, graphic design, and music.
Miami Isabel Langenbach – 26, from Nykøbing Falster, is an educational assistant with children and young people in special and normal areas. She is passionate about helping children and young people and ensuring that they thrive both physically and mentally. Her interests include painting, experiencing the world, volunteering for the Red Cross, and spending time with her loved ones.
Cecilia Matine Larsen – 24, from Greve, is a passionate hairdresser who owns her own hairdressing salon Matine Hair Design. In her spare time, she enjoys walking with her dog in the forest and on the beach, fitness, and spending time with her family and friends.
Rikke Skovly Petersen – 19, from Roskilde, is a hostess and daily manager in a restaurant. She went to a business school and an academy for talented young people where she was a student speaker and council president. Her interests include travel, fashion, animals, beauty, and being with friends and family.
Anniqa Jamal Iqbal – 20, from Søborg, is a business economics student and is working as an attendant for various events. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, drawing, doing makeup and styling.
Rebecca Larsen – 24, from Agersø, is a freelancer and model. Growing up with two opposite parents, it has been a process for her to find her own path in life. When she was 20, she was running her own hostel in Sri Lanka. Her interests include modeling, karaoke, acting, setting up places and coming up with creative projects, being with nature, and sharing time with down-to-earth people.
Nadja Reinhardt Sjogaard – 23, from Århus, was originally raised in the countryside in a small town called Ferup. She is well-traveled and works in a call center, and with vulnerable children in a kindergarten. This September she will begin studying marketing economics. She enjoys fitness and spending time with her friends and family.
Ann-Sofie Bisgaard Christiansen – 17, from Aalborg, is a student of business economics and marketing and is working in a coffee shop. She dreams of becoming a police offer and after high school, she plans to do her military service as she loves challenges and being physically pushed. Her interests include boxing, fashion, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
Helene Myrdal – 26, from Aarhus, is a trained freight forwarder and works as an Excellence Manager in a transport company. In her free time, she enjoys cheerleading, reading books, learning new languages, traveling, being with friends and family, playing on the computer, and volunteering for a cancer foundation as well as teaching danish to migrants.
Jessica . Pscheidt – 27, from Copenhagen, is a mentor, freelancer, and a BA graduate in the field of social/special education who is working in social psychiatry. Her interests include strength training, nature, travel, swimming, performing arts, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys cultural, artistic, and gastronomic experiences.
Josephine Amalie Pedersen – 18, from Gilleleje, is a student of economics and international markets and is currently working in a bakery. Her interests include being with family and friends, books, travel, self-development, and a great interest in fitness, diet, and cooking.
Malou Peters – 20, from Næstved, is a lingerie store employee and a substitute teacher. She aspires to experience the world. Her interests include knitting, fashion, and health, and loves to express herself creatively.
Thalia Ortiz Rasmussen – 21, from Grenaa/ Sønderborg, is on sabbatical and currently working in a tiny house resort. She was born to a Danish father and Mexican mother and grew up in the Danish minority in Flensburg, Germany. She enjoys time with friends and family, running, and languages including Danish, German, Spanish, and English fluent.
Cecilie Frost Wittchen – 24, from Roskilde, is trained in sales and is in the process of making a career as a generalist at IKEA. She is very career-minded and always ready to develop herself personally. Her interests include spending time with friends and family, cooking, fashion, travel, and animals.
Emilie Larkegaard Andersen – from Odense, is a psychology student and makes scooters in her spare time. The 18-year-old enjoys spending time every day in the stable looking after her horse Alturo. She is a competitive rider and is very keen on keeping fit both in the gym and in her sport.
Denise Hansen – 18, from Vejle, is a certified tilting technician and a student. She dreams of pursuing studies in cosmetics and opening her own beauty universe where there is room for everyone, where there are no prejudices, and where everyone will feel comfortable. Her interests include everything within the beauty industry, running, family and friends, being creative with making eyelashes, press on nails, jewelry, and painting.
Sabine Hansen – 23, grew up in Langeland and now lives in Svendborg. She will soon graduate as a materialist and proceed to study multimedia design. Her interests include strength training, traveling, and quality time with friends and family.
Stephanie Bagge – 18, from Næstved, is a student as well as a restaurant and thrift store employee. After high school, she plans to take a sabbatical to work and travel with family and friends. Her interests include beauty and makeup. She advocates against cancer and dream of becoming a role model for other girls.
The next Miss Danmark will have the opportunity to represent her country at Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Supranational, and Miss Grand International.
